A tree and a sheep are fond of each other. Alas, they are unable to convey their sentiments as they speak in a different tongue. Bewildered by their thoughts, they wonder what predicament they have fallen into. To resolve this tugging in their hearts, they look unto humans, the constant singers of romance, to see if their feelings is indeed the fabled love.
Love and Difference is a celebration of diversity. Selected opera scenes from George Frideric Handel’s Serse and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Bastien und Bastienne and Le nozze di Figaro are woven into a poetic tale protrayed by different forms and languages. It affirms affections across boundaries, applaud distinctness, and hopes for love to bridge all differences.
